It was great to engage actively with so many stakeholders from the finance and investment sectors at the CGFI Forum 2024. IFB Flagship Leaders Nicola Ranger and Richard Field were present along with Theme Leaders Jo Chamberlain and Franziska Schrodt. NERC was represented by Shewly Chowdhury and Ashleigh Sladen. The IFB stand was a hive of activity before and after each session, and a number of new and very welcome contacts were made.

The afternoon session, Science for a greener financial system: research showcase, was chaired by Matt Foote (Head of Climate Risk Intelligence at Howden). It was introduced by Shewli, and included presentations from Franszi and IFB Partner, Ben Groom. Both took part in the panel session that followed to discuss research frontiers, industry needs, and how to collaborate effectively with academia.
