On Wednesday, 6th December, interested parties can join the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Business, Climate Change and Sustainability (B-CCaS) and RSPB Scotland for a film screening followed by a panel discussion with academic and industry experts. It focuses on the role of finance in tackling the twin crises of climate and nature.
The short film – ‘Banking on a Wilder Tomorrow’ is inspired by Wild Isles, the BBC nature documentary series produced by WWF, the RSPB, the National Trust and Silverback Films. It focuses on the role finance can play in addressing the crises and touches on banks with transition plans, TNFD, Science Based Targets for Nature, NBS, and new regulations.
The panel discussion – including the IFB Programme’s Dr Hannah Rudman - will explore the issues and challenges raised by the film.
This event will be ideal for finance and sustainability professionals looking for insights into a rapidly developing set of issues. Refreshments and snacks will be served, and there will be opportunities for networking.
Tickets for the screening that starts at 1730 are obtainable via Eventbrite.
