UK nations and international co-operation
Theme 3 engages UK Nations, considers international best practices, and synthesizes knowledge for biodiversity markets and policy.
Theme Leader: Dr Hannah Rudman
Hannah is Senior Research Fellow in Information and Computational Sciences at the James Hutton Institute. Her applied research focuses on digital measurement reporting verification (MRV), nature tech, and data driven approaches that enable credible, investable nature positive and net zero transitions. She works with land managers, enterprises, and governments to co design decision support tools, standards and models for ecosystem restoration, biodiversity uplift, and natural carbon sequestration. Hannah is also an experienced non executive: she serves as an Executive Director at Highlands Rewilding and is a publicly appointed trustee of the National Galleries of Scotland and Co-Chair of the Scottish Forum on natural Capital. Across her career she has led multi million pound digital transformation programmes and, more recently, research and innovation projects that build the data infrastructure needed for emerging ecosystem markets and land use partnerships. She publishes peer reviewed articles and policy reports and is a sought after speaker and convenor, translating complex technical topics into actionable insights for practitioners and policymakers. Hannah is committed to open collaboration that accelerates the delivery of measurable outcomes for people, nature, and climate.
