They bring significant experience in the finance sector and a passion for applying biodiversity data within financial decision-making. Alicia is a sustainability leader with 25 years of global experience advancing solutions at the intersection of climate, biodiversity, and social impact. At Swiss Re, she led applied R&D in the Research, Engagement, and Sustainability unit, developing tools, metrics, and transition strategies that help businesses measure environmental impact and build resilience. Alicia’s work includes co-developing the Poseidon Principles, UNEP Principles for Sustainable Insurance iSDG Calculator, and the partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) carbon standard for insurance. A member of IUCN’s World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) and certified in Finance for Nature, Alicia focuses on closing the nature financing gap and accelerating the 30x30 target to protect people, planet, and prosperity. Alicia will be working primarily with Flagship 2, Greening Finance for Nature.
Hannah is a sustainable finance leader with global experience spanning asset management, ESG strategy, and conservation-driven policy. Her career includes senior roles at BlackRock, S&P Dow Jones Indices, and Wells Fargo/Allspring, where she led the development of ESG investment products, strategies, and frameworks. Currently, Hannah work with the Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance to scale blue finance solutions, while contributing to nature strategy and environmental markets initiatives. Passionate about mobilizing capital for climate and biodiversity, Hannah focuses on building resilient, nature-positive economies that align environmental sustainability with financial innovation. Hannah will be working across several Flagships and projects with IFB.
Hannah is a Senior Nature Manager at Aviva and was formerly Vice President in the Nature Policy & Strategy team within Group Sustainability at Barclays, working across global business divisions to integrate nature into strategy, financing, and risk management. Her focus includes nature in transition planning, markets and products, and partnerships with industry groups, supporting initiatives on nature financing. Hannah has led work on carbon offsetting due diligence, sustainability disclosures, ESG ratings, and TNFD framework piloting during her career. With an MSc in Environment, Politics and Society and a BSc in Environmental Conservation, Hannah combines academic expertise with practical experience to drive sustainable finance initiatives. Hannah will be working primarily with Flagships 1, Financing Green Sector Transitions, and also with Flagship 3, Financing Biodiversity.
