IFB researchers made a significant contribution to the World Biodiversity Forum 2026, held in Davos in June, bringing the Programme’s work on biodiversity finance, nature-related financial risk and practical approaches for integrating nature into financial decision-making to an international audience.

Understanding the financial effects of nature-related risks

IFB Knowledge Exchange Fellow Dr Jimena Alvarez’s work featured in two presentations examining nature-related financial risk. This included an evidence review drawing on more than 600 entries from 360 sources, and work developing nature-related risk scenarios for Europe.

Taking IFB research to Davos
